Patrick Milhaupt

Patrick joined Sotheby's International Realty to redefine the standards in the luxury home sales. His commercial investment experience influence his analytical approach to buying and selling real estate. His style relies on listening intently to every detail of his clients’ objectives and then tailoring a strategy to deliver their desired results.

Before joining Sotheby's, Mr. Milhaupt has a decade of experience successfully guiding clients and investors through the acquisition, asset management, disposition or reposition of real estate assets - from individual luxury homes to commercial portfolios of value in excess of $500 million.

His career began as a college intern at Baltimore/Washington D.C. CBRE Multifamily Investment Sales group. He began his permanent career with AvalonBay Communities, Inc., one of the largest publicly traded apartment equities in the U.S. Based in Los Angeles, California, he served as a Redevelopment Coordinator managing on-site construction and sales operations for various luxury apartment communities throughout Southern California.

He continued into Asset & Portfolio Management with Alliant Capital, Ltd. in Los Angeles, California and then World Class Capital Group in Austin, Texas. His primary responsibility was the performance of syndicated investment portfolios comprised of cross-sector real estate assets on behalf of both institutional and individual investors of each respective firm.

Most recently, Patrick served as an Investment Associate with HG Capital, LLC in Menlo Park, California, a privately held investment firm where he analyzed and conducted due diligence on niche real estate investment opportunities on behalf of the firm’s high net worth clients.
